Undeniably the biggest, most
WTF when the episode came when Melisandre, emotionally devastated after the
defeat Stannis' and Jon's death, went into the bedroom to sleep that is needed.
She strips naked, much to
the delight audience ... until she removes her necklace, revealing its original
form, the body ages.
There has been much
speculation about the necklace for years, and this seems to confirm that the
combination of herbs and necklaces made her aging at bay somehow.
That did not stop some fans
wondering exactly how it all works, considering the previous episode where
Melisandre shower while not wearing the necklace, but it is still beautiful
form of his youth.
Either this is a big mistake
continuity, or more likely, potions and necklaces work in conjunction with one
another.
It was a strange scene, sad
and odd beautiful, more so as easy to guess from this that Melisandre may end
up sacrificing himself to bring life back Jon Snow.
